Very Sweet! Very Sweet!
She’s officially off the jig. All the metal work is done. She will set flat on the concrete for 72 hours to let gravity to take its toll. We’ll see what happens; if the unibody warps, then it’s back on the jig. If the unibody stays level, we pre-fit all the doors, hood, trunk, fenders one more time to be absolutely sure that when she comes back from paint, the lines are correct.
Once all the panels are pre-fit for the third time, we mount her to the rotisserie. We then do the concours final welds. We have official licensed engineering drawings from Ford that shows us how many welds, what size, where they are located. We’ll do the final welds according to these schematics. She’ll be concours-correct with every weld in the precise place. Once this is done, we will head for the paint booth.
