Today’s the day! We’re loading up Phil’s boss and will be sending it to a cargo-shipping company to send it overseas, finally into its owner’s hands. We photographed all the boxes of parts and things, as well as all the documentation, going with the Mustang.

We’ve received a large order of parts from NPD (check them all out here) and have begun packing them up in preparation for their overseas journey.

Here are pics of us loading Phil’s Boss with the used parts that aren’t on the Mustang but that Phil wants to hold on to.

Phil’s transmission’s going back in, with a brand-new clutch. It will drive great after this! We also replaced the rear mounting brackets so the tranny will sit properly, and while we were down there we replaced the universal joints as well. The transmission has also been serviced, which includes a complete fluid flush and replacement. We’ll be testing the new clutch out in the next few days to make sure its up to standards…

Here we are servicing Phil’s transmission, doing a fluid drain and installation of the new clutch. We also found that the rear mounts for the transmission were badly worn and were dropping the tranny lower than it should go, so we had to replace them as well. We also took the opportunity to get pictures of the engine and tranny serial numbers, which are usually very hard to get to!

We have Phil’s new clutch, and have pulled his transmission, will do a bit of cleaning, and then will install the new clutch so his Boss runs all the better!

We’ve begun disassembling the bell housing on Phil’s transmission in order to service the clutch before we ship this baby over to him. Here we are cleaning up his clutch and all the components we’ve removed before we do the necessary repairs.

Phil’s Boss just arrived, and, as is customary for all new projects we take on, we have completed an in-depth inspection photoshoot to ascertain the state of the Mustang.
