August 28- Disassembly has begun!
Phase I of this Shelby’s restoration has begun- disassembly. Each part and piece taken off Biff’s ’68 Shelby is inspected, tagged and bagged. All parts are done this way, whether they are to be replaced or not. From the inspection, we will build project sheets to plan and budget Phase II. the actual restoration. The final phase, Phase III, will be the assembly phase, where everything is put back together.
An interesting note on the color history of this Shelby…
The current color is a sort of copper brown. From the underlying layer, it appears that this ‘Stang was white at one time. And then, the next layer down, the original color- Acapulco Blue! Just can’t wait to see it restored to this color with the “Saddle” colored interior!
