Let Me Tell You About the Owner...

 

Chuck and Ed have never met, but have become friends during the last year after Chuck had bought some parts.  Thanks to the e-mails and phone, the two have developed a unique friendship.

Chuck is a Vietnam veteran from Louisiana now living within an hour's drive from Washington, DC.  He is a single father of three boys and works in construction management.  Chuck is looking to move back to Louisiana to complete his career and retire.  He knew he bit off more than he could handle the last few years in vehicle restoration.  Having drag raced in the 60's and worked on cars as a normal southern teen, Chuck got back into hot-rodding in the early '90s.  Being an Ole Ford man, it was only natural to buy what he used to drive.
 
Thanks for saving this beauty!  She needs to be in the right hands: someone who will restore her, drive her, and love her.

History brings memories.  Thus, Chuck let his emotions overtake good sense and he purchased this vehicle in '07.  It was very similar to the first vehicle he owned after returning from Vietnam, a '70 Fairlane 500.  After driving a few months, Chuck realized he had bit off more than he could handle with all his restoration projects.  View the slideshow to see a bunch of early pics, as well as the work Chuck has done and the Torino's present state.  There is some damage to the front bumper frame and cross frame, so Chuck purchased the parts to fix it, including a new aluminum radiator and lower half of the dash. The present dash was butchered to install an aftermarket radio and gauges.

  

 

  

This is a project car in very good condition.  It needs a little work before it can be trustfully driven.  We guarantee satisfaction with this vehicle upon final inspection and we will assist in loading for transport.  It has no other warranty or guarantee of any kind and is sold as is.  All we can do is describe the vehicle for full disclosure as detailed as possible, inside, outside, and underside.  This vehicle is sold on consignment by MustangOnlyOne for the original owner.  MustangOnlyOne has performed a complete inspection and appraisal of this vehicle.  We also provided the photo session and listing.
