Let Me Tell You About the Owner...

Alex came from California with Mustang knowledge and a family car to Arizona, where Doug met him in Tempe. Alex's aunt bought this car new in California, all the way back in 1966, which she and her son (Alex's cousin) drove until about 1980, when it was given to Alex's sister to drive through high school and college, until she too bought a new car around 1987. The car then sat in the garage of Alex's father for over 10 years, until Alex offered to bring it to Arizona with him, do a little work on it, and try to sell it for the family.
Thank you for helping us save this beauty! She needs to be in the right hands: someone that will garage her, drive her, perhaps restore her, and love her.
MustangOnlyOne Summary:
This is an A-Code 1966 Ford Mustang Coupe that is all-original, except for a paintjob that it received in the mid 1980s, which is very similar to the original color, but not exact. It is a solid daily driver that Alex has tinkered with a little bit--he has replaced the gastank, and plans to rebuild the 4v carburetor soon. The original 289 4v V8 and C4 auto transmission are still in this car and running smooth with only 55,000 original miles. The interior is all original, so there is some surface rust on the dash and a few mild tears in the upholstery, but overall it is in very good condition (after all, it is over forty years old). Also note that this car has front bench seats and pony interior. The undercarriage is solid and rust-free, though there is some medium rust on the exhaust and suspension, which is to be expected. The engine compartment is in very good shape with medium wear, simply from this car's age, but in ready-to-restore or daily driver condition. According to Alex, there was some body damage done to the rear quarter panel in the early '80s which was repaired with some bondo, but otherwise this car has had no known damage. For overall frame preservation and reliability, MustangOnlyOne gives this car a 10 out of 10 points as a ready-to-restore or daily driver car, as the crucial and structural components of the car have been kept all original and in very good shape, perfect to begin a restoration project or just to drive on occasion. For overall quality and performance, MustangOnlyOne gives this car an 8 out of 10 points, as it does have mild to medium wear overall.
