Let Me Tell You About the Owner...

Bill is a retired Vice-President of an airplane company from California who spends his time nowadays customizing and restoring Mustangs with his small team of close friends. He's got a garage filled with cool things like this hi-po engine block and hot rod (center two pictures above). This engine block will probably go into one of his Mustang projects. He's got two 1969 Mustangs: one is a project car that's still sitting on a trailer, and the other one is a street rod fastback with custom exhaust pipes, a big red shaker and tons of hi-po parts to get it up and gone whenever he feels the need. Bill met Doug (our ramblin' MustangOnlyOne car finder/photographer) and in no time the two were photoshooting both of Bill's 1969 Mustangs, and they clicked away until dark.
Thank you for helping us save this beauty! She needs to be in the right hands: someone that will garage her, drive her, and love her.
MustangOnlyOne Summary:
This 1969 Mustang Mach I Street Rod has tons of customization to give it great style and power. Bill's a very experienced car man, so he knew exactly what he wanted in this baby. It has a numbers-matching 351 Windsor V8 with a Holley 750 cfm double pump carb and Edelbrock intake, Pro Comp 2.02 intake aluminum heads, a Lunati Voodoo cam with .600 lift, and a complete MSD Ignition System. But that's just under the hood: the C6 automatic transmission comes with a shift kit and a 2500 stall converter, while it has a 9" positive traction rear end with 389 gears, an S&W Racing Frame with coil cover shocks and sub-frame connectors, disc brakes on front and drums on rear with a new power brake master cylinder. The stock gas tank has a Holley hi-po fuel pump and this car has custom side-pipe dual exhaust. Bill recommends rebuilding the front end as the next project on this car. The interior is numbers-matching Mach I deluxe and in very good condition--note that
the door tag does not match this car (we believe the door was changed at one point). The undercarraige is solid and treated to prevent rust, looks great. The engine compartment is emaculate. Bill opted for a simple primer-black paintjob, as he felt it went better with with car's street rod nature, but it could conceivably be tape-painted without too much trouble, though we wouldn't recommend it. MustangOnlyOne gives this car a 10 out of 10 points as a customized street rod, as the engine and interior were kept original but almost everything else is custom, and the car runs great and reliably at just over 500 horsepower. If you have any more questions as to the specific customizations Bill has performed on this car (we have outlined only the most important highlights), do not hesitate to contact us and we will get more information to you ASAP.
