First, Let Me Tell You About the Owner...

Dan got this car in 2001 from a guy in
We have a complete history and completion plan available upon resquest.
Since then, Dan has been gathering tons of parts to finish the project, including LED taillights, a fiberglass hood, a brush-steel instrument cluster, an engine dress-up kit, and more. Unfortunately, for personal reasons, he now must sell it. Dan has had all the body work done, along with the tons of parts that he has gathered to finish it up.
Thank you for helping us complete this beauty! She needs to be in the right hands: someone that will garage her, restore her, and love her. Dan and MustangOnlyOne need someone to finish this Clone and bring it to the beauty that Dan has envisioned.
MustangOnlyOne Summary:
This is a 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible that Dan has begun restoring into a Shelby clone; he has done all the body work and gathered tons of parts that he never got to install (see the third slideshow, at the bottom of the ad), including a brushed-steel instrument cluster with gauges, a complete weatherstrip kit for the windows and top, an engine dress-up kit, a Billet gas cap, Billet taillights with LED programmable sequential patterns, chrome "bullet" sideview mirrors, rearview mirror and "hockey-stick" door handles, 15" Fosse Grey polished aluminum wheels, a new 2-barrel carburetor, and more (once again, see slideshow). The entire body is primed and ready to be painted, though the fiberglass rear deck spoiler lid still needs prepping and priming, and the hood scoop needs to be fitted. Dan does not have a convertible canvas (though the frame is present and in good shape), so that will need to be purchased, and the interior needs to be re-upholstered and the carpet replaced. The undercarraige is solid, though there is some rust from the NY weather and wear which should be treated for the perfect restoration. This car comes with power steering, power disc brakes, a 289 2v V8 and C4 automatic transmission. For overall frame preservation, MustangOnlyOne gives this car a 9 out of 10 points as a ready-to-restore clone, as the car is solid and has tons of original parts and is free of damage, but does have some surface rust that is simple to correct, on the undercarraige and in the engine compartment.
Update: Dan has just painted this Mustang with Shelby-Eleanor gray and black stripes, and now the only work left is to install and restore the interior and install the power top, which has had the frame painted and will be included. The engine and tranny have also been rebuilt, but have never been cranked since coming back to Dan, so they have zero miles on them.
