Let Me Tell You About the Owner...

Bill is a retired Vice-President of an airplane company from California who spends his time nowadays customizing and restoring Mustangs with his small team of close friends. He's got a garage filled with cool things like this hi-po engine block and street rod (center two pictures above). This engine block will probably go into one of his Mustang projects. He's got two 1969 Mustangs: one is a project car that's still sitting on a trailer, and the other one is a hot-rodded fastback with custom exhaust pipes, a big red shaker and tons of hi-po parts to get it up and gone whenever he feels the need. Bill met Doug (our ramblin' MustangOnlyOne car finder/photographer) and in no time the two were photoshooting both of Bill's 1969 Mustangs, and they clicked away until dark.
Thank you for helping us save this beauty! She needs to be in the right hands: someone that will garage her, restore her, and love her.
MustangOnlyOne Summary:
This 1969 Mustang Fastback is in great shape to be someone's next restoration project. It has a non-original running 289 and a C4 automatic transmission. It is rust-free but there is some corrosion on the floorpans and frame, which can be easily treated during restoration. The interior is all original and will look great with some work, and all the glass is present and in good shape. The body and frame is solid, though there is some damage to the rear right fender that appear to be hole punches. Bill has the complete taillight assembly even though it is not currently on the car. For overall frame condition and original preservation, MustangOnlyOne gives this car an 8 out of 10 points, as it is a very solid and damage-free (save the hole punches in the fender), but does not have the original engine (289s were not available in 1969 for the Mustang anymore, having been replaced by the 302). This car is the perfect project for someone looking to restore a 1969 Mustang, so long as they aren't insisting on a numbers-matching engine block to go with it.
