Let Me Tell You About the Owner...

Mark met Dan out in New Mexico, where Dan has had this project car since 2000, when he bought it from a Doctor in Roswell. Dan confesses to being a Chevy man, but he bought this car to restore for his son, a process which he began in 2002. Dan was an auto mechanic for about 15 years, until he changed professions and became a trauma nurse. He's now working at the University of New Mexico's Hospital. Dan has kept all receipts and warranties since 2002, when he began the restoration, and has done a good bit of work, though the car is still just a daily driver.
MustangOnlyOne Summary:
What makes this 'Stang so great is that it is a project car with lots of work already done on it, so you'll have a great daily driver, or the beginning of a very nice restoration project. Dan replaced the original 6-cylinder with a 302 10-bore hi-po engine and an Ersin cam, which only have 10,000 miles on it. This car also has a new clutch, rear end, drivetrain, brake lines, instrument cluster, instrument gauges, grille, and "Mustang" lettering for the front and rear. Dan replaced the original manifold with headers and a 2.5" custom dual exhaust. This car also has an alarm system, a Blaupunkt AM/FM/CD player with a detachable faceplate, and Pioneer 3-way speakers. While the car does have a 3-Speed Manual toploader "peanute" Transmission, Dan has recently bought a 5-Speed Manual that will be included in the purchase of the vehicle--all you have to do is install it! This car is very solid, though it is missing quite a bit from the interior, such as the interior quarter panels and the rear bench seat. Otherwise, it is very solid and has almost no rust, save some surface rust on the undercarriage. For overall frame preservation, MustangOnlyOne gives this car a 7.5 out of 10 points as a restoration project car, as it is a very good car to start from, but the engine does not match and some important original interior is missing.
